British Educational Excellence
At St. George's, English is the language of instruction. Led by our qualified, native English-speaking teaching staff, children are immersed in a truly immersive learning process from their very first day of school. In Pre-Nursery (age 2) and Nursery (age 3), 100% of lessons are taught in English, while Spanish is introduced in Reception (age 4). From Primary School onwards, 72% of subjects are taught in English and 28% in Spanish; this percentage increases to 77% and 23% respectively in Secondary School.
The school follows the National Curriculum of England, a broad and balanced curriculum that emphasizes practical learning and experience. The British education system goes beyond strictly academic learning, encouraging students to explore the world more deeply, developing their individual talents and respecting the perspectives and abilities of others. Recognized globally, the British education system opens doors to prestigious universities, both in Spain and internationally. Furthermore, as a Globeducate member school, our students have access to challenging and enriching international activities and events with more than 65 schools in eleven countries who are part of the group, for a authentic global preparation.
Unique outdoor learning program
St. George's British International School offers its students, from age seven and up, an exclusive outdoor learning program called "The Journey." This unique opportunity allows students to build character, knowledge, skills, competencies, and global perspectives by embarking on a personal journey of discovery and challenge. Integrated throughout our curriculum, "The Journey" provides students with challenging and enriching activities designed to develop a range of essential skills in an unparalleled natural environment. This program, exclusive to Globeducate schools, lays the foundation for the renowned Duke of Edinburgh's Programme, designed for students in Years 9 through 12.
