Bunzl opens its new logistics center in Malaga, a milestone in its commitment to Andalusia

Numerous authorities, including the British Ambassador to Spain and the Mayor of Malaga, participated in the grand launch of Bunzl in Malaga.

Bunzl Distribution Spain has officially opened its new logistics center in Malaga, consolidating its leadership as a comprehensive distributor of sustainable non-food solutions and expanding its strategic presence in southern Spain.

The inauguration, presided over by Daniel Tovar, General Manager of Bunzl Distributing Spain, and Mario Ballarín, Managing Director SEME, CEE & Nordics of the Bunzl Group, was attended by prominent authorities such as the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Spain, Alex Ellis, the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, the Territorial Delegate of Economy of the Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Jesús García Acedo, and the Director of Andalucía Trade, Antonio de la Morena, among many personalities from the business world.

A new milestone for Bunzl Distribution Spain

Over 6.000 m² of operational surfaceThe new logistics center in Malaga is located in the Santa Teresa Industrial Estate, a strategic location very close to the airport. improves own distribution capacity, optimizes customer service and consolidates Bunzl's proximity and local service model.

The facilities include:

6 loading docks
Capacity for more than 6.000 pallets
Conventional and APQ (chemical products) storage areas
A showroom for customers, with displays of categories such as hospitality supplies, PPE, workwear, tableware, cleaning, robotics or packaging.

In addition, the center incorporates photovoltaic installation on the roofBMS system for energy control, LED lighting and BREEAM certification sustainable construction.

The logistics center in Malaga also becomes the headquarters of Comercial Cermerón SLThe company, acquired by Bunzl in 2024, has had its operations fully transferred to these facilities. This move represents an operational and sustainability improvement, enabling Bunzl to offer a more agile, personalized, and efficient service to customers in the region.
