Sevilla | Tercera sesión club Reino Unido Extenda: retos del mercado británico

The Extenda UK Club is made up of 21 Andalusian companies that stand out in different fields of activity and that carry out their activity in different provinces. Among them are the Port Authorities of Seville, the Bay of Cadiz, Huelva and the Bay of Algeciras, from which the Port Community Association of the Bay of Algeciras (Comport) also participates, in addition to the Andalusia Aerospace Cluster and the Andalusian subsidiary of the British Bae Systems.
Likewise, companies from Seville are part of the United Kingdom Club, such as ADM Decor, Business Language Project, Quintas Energy; from Almería, such as Páez Aduanas, Ronco & Cía, Interoliva, Zoi Agrícola; from Malaga, such as Contempo Architecture Studio, Grupo Alsur, Zener Marine Elevator, Novocuadra Art Company; from Córdoba, such as Aceitunas Torrent, Pérez Barquero; and from Huelva, like Hudisa.
The United Kingdom stands out for being one of Andalusia's main trading partners abroad. It constitutes the fifth foreign market in the community, to which goods were exported in 2021 worth 2,246 million euros, 14.2% more than in 2020. A figure that places Andalusia in a very competitive position as the third largest exporting community country, to which it supplies a very diverse offer that includes important agri-food products such as olive oil, fruits and vegetables; high-tech chapters such as aerospace or industry in the field of foundry, stone or vehicles.
A quick look at the list of members shows that we have had commercial dealings with about 30 of our co-members in that time. The mutual membership of the Chamber has provided us with a great platform to talk. It gives people the opportunity to know you and trust you. We have also taken the opportunity to sponsor various successful Chamber events and increase our brand visibility, as well as speaking to many decision makers in business and government. Hays has now joined the British Chamber in nearly all of the 33 countries from which we operate. The cost of annual corporate membership is a lot lower than a single advert in most media and in my opinion we get a tremendous return on investment. Apart from which, I enjoy it!
La British Chamber of Commerce in Spain representa un punto de encuentro que nos permite estar en contacto directo con otras multinacionales británicas en la consecución de objetivos comunes. Un foro de escucha e intercambio de ideas que, gracias a iniciativas como British Investment in Spain Committee, proporciona una mayor visibilidad a la contribución de empresas británicas como Diageo, al desarrollo económico español. Cada año, el 'Barómetro sobre clima y perpectivas de la inversión británica en España' refleja la apuesta de las empresas británicas a la hora de invertir en España, siendo el Reino Unido el cuarto inversor en nuestro país, con un 10% del total de inversiones directas.
