Business in Spain, and particularly the visibility of business in Spain, is dominated by the large financial – and other sector – corporations based in Madrid and Barcelona, and quoted on the IBEX stock exchange. However, many other businesses remain in private hands and are based far from the regional capitals that are the focus and representation of successful organisations in Spain. These companies have grown from humble roots to becoming export success stories for those who have had the privilege to come across them, their leaders and their great products.
But building a successful business in Spain – or anywhere else – requires a combination of many aspects:

- Vision and an innovative spirit

Our guest speakers will talk about all of these elements on their road to growth and success. They will speak of their beginnings, their trials and tribulations and their ultimate lessons for doing business in Spain and internationally, no matter where you are from within the country.

La British Chamber of Commerce in Spain representa un punto de encuentro que nos permite estar en contacto directo con otras multinacionales británicas en la consecución de objetivos comunes. Un foro de escucha e intercambio de ideas que, gracias a iniciativas como British Investment in Spain Committee, proporciona una mayor visibilidad a la contribución de empresas británicas como Diageo, al desarrollo económico español. Cada año, el 'Barómetro sobre clima y perpectivas de la inversión británica en España' refleja la apuesta de las empresas británicas a la hora de invertir en España, siendo el Reino Unido el cuarto inversor en nuestro país, con un 10% del total de inversiones directas.
La colaboración con la Britsh Chamber nos ha proporcionado la oportunidad de asistir a varios eventos, forjar vínculos clave con otras empresas británicas en España, fortalecer nuestra relación con el embajador británico y participar en conversaciones con actores importantes del escenario político español. La British Chamber también nos ha proporcionado la oportunidad de ser creativos con nuestras ideas, creando un entorno seguro para cuestionar, pero no criticar, para que podamos crecer como negocio en España.
