Webinar | The evolution of COVID-19: perspectives from the experts with Vithas International

Spain is now preparing for the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning hospitals and medical facilities will once again be at the forefront of the National effort to deal with the virus.
Continuing its program of informative webinars, the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain is holding a webinar in collaboration with Vithas International, the leading private healthcare provider in Spain. This will provide expert medical insight into the origin, progression and impact of COVID-19. Senior medical professionals will share their frontline experiences on the treatment, management and development of the virus. We are pleased to welcome Dr Francisco Moya MD FFSEM, and Dr Juan Bosco Rodríguez Hurtado MD from the Vithas Xanit Hospital in Benalmádena, who will discuss the facts and implications of the pandemic so far.

Dr. Francisco Moya MD FFSEM
Dr. Francisco Moya is currently the Clinical Lead of the International Services Department and a Consultant in Emergency and Sport and Exercise Medicine at Vithas Xanit International Hospital in Malaga, Spain. After obtaining his basic medical degree in Spain, he completed his postgraduate training in Acute and Emergency Medicine and Sport and Exercise Medicine in the United Kingdom.
He has been involved in several research projects at International level, mainly in the fields of Arrhythmia, Anticoagulation, Sudden Death in Sport and ACS Management in the Emergency Departments as well as participating in several scientific publications and medical books. Dr Moya is a regular Lecturer, including visiting professor to Hunan´s People University Hospital Changsha China, abstract Reviewer and Committee Member at National and International Emergency and Sport and Exercise Medicine Congresses and Symposia.
Dr. Juan Bosco Rodríguez Hurtado MD
Dr Juan Bosco Rodríguez Hurtado MD is both a Doctor, and an expert in Hospital and Healthcare Management, and in the development of new businesses. He has held the position of General Manager and medical director of hospitals for 20 years, based mainly in Málaga, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. He has been responsible for the development and
launch of 5 new hospital projects, the last of which was Xanit International Hospital. He has a degree from the University of Malaga in General Medicine and Surgery, and in Hospital Management and Health Management from the School of Senior Management and Administration (EADA) in Barcelona.
He also completed a masters in Hospitals and HealthCare Management at the prestigious College of Economists in the Province of Malaga, and has completed a Masters in the Assessment of Personal Injuries and Disabilities from the Carlos III University in Madrid, and is a University Expert with a Master in Health Tourism from the University of Malaga. In 2019 he was accredited as a University Expert in A&E by the International University of Andalucía (UNIA).
