First Ever BSB Alumni Welcome Event

On Friday, 22nd June The British School of Barcelona officially launched the BSB Alumni network, coinciding with the upcoming 60th anniversary in September (1958-2018). The school marked this very special occasion with a sensational welcome event, with over 60 attendees and as a perfect round off to yet another successful academic year.
The BSB welcomed the alumni at BSB Nexus, their new Pre-University campus. Graduates of the school and members of the teaching staff did not want to miss this unique event in BSB history, where everyone had the opportunity to share memories of the old good days and explain where they are now and what they have been doing in the last twenty, ten or just two years. It was particularly special to hear from three alumni expressing their gratitude to the school and their past teachers for stretching them and making sure they always went the extra mile, as this has had a strong and positive impact on their later studies and professional achievements. After the speeches, relaxed music, delicious nibbles and funny slideshows of pictures from their school days wrapped the evening up in a climate of bonhomie and shared memories.
This was just the starting point! BSB Alumni wants to be a meeting point to foster interaction among students with a common past, make social & professional contacts, and discover work and learning opportunities. BSB Alumni have lots to offer and during the course of the next school year they will develop joint initiatives that will help them all to stay in touch and benefit from being part of this wonderful community.
