AGS Spain lends a hand in fight against COVID-19

At the height of Spain’s coronavirus outbreak in March and April, the Spanish branch of the AGS Removals Group expanded its operations to support the city’s fight against the pandemic.
“Our teams adapted quickly, and everybody was on hand to assist with several operations to help the local community, the local healthcare workers in particular,” notes AGS Spain branch manager Antonio González.
When a well-known sports brand donated snorkelling masks to several Madrid hospitals, AGS Spain delivered the masks across the city. The masks were a great help during the first wave and, once equipped with 3D-printed adaptors, were used to protect the nursing staff. In addition, the branch entered into an agreement with a prominent retail group to provide meals to healthcare workers by transporting ingredients to the restaurants where the meals were prepared. The company also offered repatriation services to Spanish public officials stranded abroad.
Antonio adds, “We also started providing – and still provide - an additional sanitary service to clients, disinfecting their vehicles and residences with a product that specifically targets COVID-19. Customer feedback has been very positive. They appreciate the extra precautions we take to ensure their safety. Our industry has always demanded adaptability, and we evolve to meet the needs of our clients.”
