Description

Construction

In 1945, Joseph Cyril Bamford (Mr. JCBWe began by using our engineering knowledge to invent new construction equipment. Our machines have always been distinguished by our innovative ideas; this commitment to innovation means we have always made significant investments in R&D, production processes, and customer service.

This unique focus on construction machinery explains why we continue to expand our global presence. Although JCB We are proud to still be a family business based in Staffordshire, UK. Our machines are used on 6 continents and we have 22 factories in the UK, Brazil, Germany, China, North America and India.

The investment of £63 million in the new factory in Brazil, £40 million in the development of 17 new skid steer loaders in the USA and £80 million in our Ecomax T4 engine demonstrate that we are constantly improving our range of more than 300 machines.

Therefore, it is not surprising that we are world leaders in the manufacture of construction equipment, such as backhoe loaders and telescopic handlers.

Agriculture

JCB We have been manufacturing farm machinery since 1945, the year Joseph Cyril Bamford built his first agricultural trailer. We have always been keenly aware that, when it comes to agricultural machinery, achieving the highest possible level of performance and productivity is paramount.

That is why we have always strived to develop special machinery for farms; agricultural telescopic handlers were launched on the market in 1977, agricultural wheel loaders in 1983 and Fastrac tractors in 1991.

We have also always relied on innovation and technology to make our agricultural equipment as efficient as possible. In 2006, we introduced the self-locking torque converter, which reduces fuel consumption and increases top speed. In 2010, we patented Adaptive Load Control to improve the safety and stability of our telescopic handlers. More recently, we launched our LiveLink telematics system.

But we are not yet satisfied with the agricultural machines we have created; we will continue to develop new solutions, improving and expanding our range to adapt to the future needs and expectations of our customers.
