Mortgage Direct It was founded in Valencia in 2006 by two British partners, Kevin Monger and Katherine Walkerdine. In its early years, the company focused exclusively on the international buyer sector, but in recent years it has experienced significant growth and currently operates strongly in both the international mortgage market and the Spanish domestic market.

The headquarters moved to Madrid in February 2023 and, as of February 2026, Mortgage Direct It has around 70 advisors, distributed evenly between the international buying teams and the national market.

Mortgage Direct It was one of the first international brokerages to obtain a credit intermediary license in Spain following the regulation of the sector in March 2019. The international buyers team offers extensive linguistic capabilities, with 12 languages ​​spoken at a native level, and advisors located throughout Spain, including a large group of British professionals.

The company also has a specialized team dedicated to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.

Mortgage Direct It is one of the largest mortgage brokerages in Spain and is widely recognized as the leading mortgage intermediary for international buyers with Spanish banks, both in terms of volume and number of transactions. The firm has also contributed articles to the British, Spanish, and American press.
