Catalonia: A strategic hub for strengthening trade relations with the UK

Catalonia remains one of the key territories for the United Kingdom, as could be seen in our #BarcelonaSummerCocktail, held yesterday alongside Cloudworks, CMAC Group, Cognita and Ditto.
An evening that brought together more than 120 attendees to celebrate the strength of trade and business relations between the United Kingdom, Spain and Catalonia.

The event, held on the incomparable terrace of Cloudworks Casa de les Punxesin the heart of the Eixample district, the event highlighted the growing institutional weight of the British Chamber, as well as the commitment of companies and institutions to continue building bridges and generating new business opportunities.

Chris Dottie, president of the British Chamberhighlighted that “the link with Barcelona and Catalonia spans almost 120 years of history, but remains more alive than ever, driving a solid and growing commercial relationship,” also emphasizing that “the British Chamber is more than a network: it is a community where companies contribute, grow and shape the future of business relationships.”

For its part, Daniel Tovarthe regional vice-president in Catalonia emphasized “the importance of #BarcelonaSummerCocktail as a space for collaboration and dialogue between companies and institutions, key to continuing to promote trade, investment and business relations.”

Laura Byrne in his first #BarcelonaSummerCocktail as Mananing Director of the British Chamber, she expressed her enthusiasm for leading “a century-old organization, but one with the capacity to evolve and meet the needs and demands of our members.” The meeting also included the institutional presence of Lloyd Milen, British Consul General in Catalonia, and of Jordi Ortiz, director of the Unitat d'Inversió i Empreses de ACCIÓ.
