Descripción
Kiwihouse is comprised of a group of professionals from different walks of life but with one thing in common…
We share a passion for the great game of rugby. We are fans, coaches, ex-players, suppliers and thought leaders and never settle for less than the best.
Through our combined professional experience we have the expertise to deliver on our mission.
In February 2021, with the suspension of the World Sevens Series since March 2020, Kiwihouse was appointed by the FER and World Rugby to organise and execute an International Sevens tournament over a two week period.
Twelve teams were hosted, 6 mens and 6 womens including teams from USA, Argentina, Kenya, France, Russia, Chile, Poland and Portugal alongside the Spanish teams.
In October, World Rugby announced the schedule for its HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2022 official, in which for the first time in history it includes Spain as the venue and with two tournaments, both male and female, in Malaga and Seville, on January 21-23 and 28-30, 2022, respectively. Kiwi House is the exclusive promoter working directly with World Rugby
The HSBC Spain Sevens were presented on Friday 17th December in Seville and will be the most important event in the Olympic form of rugby that has been held in our country. For this reason, the event had the institutional support of the Junta de Andalucía, the general secretary for Sport, José María Arrabal, and of the Spanish Rugby Federation (FER), represented by its president, Alfonso Feijoo, as well as Mirella Ruiz and Paul Nicholson, CEOs of Kiwihouse together with the prestigious English national team player Dan Norton, who served as ambassador for the event.
The other big event for 2022 is the First ever Classic All Blacks match against the Spanish Leones in the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. The event was launched in December 2019 with the game scheduled for 21st May 2022.
For the launch at the Wanda Stadium, the founder, former all-black and late Andy Haden travelled from New Zealand assisted by former players Joe Rockococko and Chris Masoe. With more than 35000 tickets already sold this could be the biggest rugby event ever in Spain.
