Aviva is the world's sixth-largest insurance group and the leading provider of life and pension products, with 36,600 employers serving around 53 million customers worldwide.

Their principal comercial activities include long term savings, the management of funds and life and general insurance. In 2011 AVIVA achieved profits of £2.5bn and £2.1bn in generation of capital. Sales of long term savings went up to £31.4bn pounds.

Aviva comercialises thier products through professional mediators (Aviva Life and Pensions) and through strategic alliances with some of the main savings banks in Spain (Bancaja, Caixa Galicia, Unicaja, Caja España, Caja Granada y Cajamurcia).

In 2011, in Spain alone, profit rose after taxes of 170 million euros, 7% more than the last year. The turnover was €2.3bn, of which €1.8bn corresponded to issued premiums and €539M to pension investments. The total figure of managemened funds was €14.2bn, 2% more than in 2010.
