In 1971, Ignacio Gómez-Acebo and Fernando Pombo, both from families with a legal, business and financial background, founded a firm conceived out of the purest Anglo-Saxon traditions, in order to offer a new quality of service to cater for the special needs of an increasingly international clientele.

We believe that a service provided without quality can only be ephemeral. A hugely important part of our organisation is therefore orientated so that each and every one of our lawyers maintains the highest level of professional training. This continuous study and professional development has meant that some of our publications have become standard textbooks in the sector, and that in certain practise areas our firm is consulted regularly at an institutional level about proposed legislative changes.

Our client-base comprises large and medium-sized Spanish and international businesses operating in the widest variety of economic sectors. By way of illustration, over the last five years our firm has advised more than 50% of the companies which make up some of the best-known European and US Stock market indices, such as the IBEX 35, EUROSTOXX, DAX, CAC, the Dow Jones or the EF.
